Arjun Bijlani opens up on best friend Kushal Punjabi's untimely death!

Lately, famous TV actor Kushal Punjabi committed suicide on the night of 26th December at his Pali Hill residence. Next morning i.e. 27th December, not only the Television world, but the country woke up to the ill-fated and untimely death of the 37-year-old actor, that left them totally stunned. Arjun Bijalni, who was a dear friend to Kushal and even worked with him in famous serial Ishq Mein Marjawaan, in a latest media chat, opened up about how he still cannot come to terms with the fact that Kushal is no more between us.

Remembering his last discussion with Kushal, Arjun disclosed that the last time they both spoke, Kushal seemed. But, Arjun confessed that Kushal was going through a rough phase, but Arjun never imagined that he would take such a drastic step. He told that Kushal was a strong-headed and happy-go-lucky person, he fails to understand how the dotting father lost the purpose of his life. Though the real reason of Kushal's demise has not been disclosed yet, there are news that suggest that the late actor was suffering from depression. On this depression issue, Arjun specified that it is high-time that depression is taken seriously and we treat it as a mental illness. There must be more awareness about it and people should know how to deal with persons suffering from it. Speaking about its importance, Arjun revealed, “The world is getting a difficult place to live and many things may affect people resulting in depression.”

Miley Jab Hum Tum’s team reunion!

On the TV, Miley Jab Hum Tum was one of the most famous teen shows in India which came out in 2008 and lasted for two seasons. It made stars out of numerous famous television actors like Sanaya Irani, Mohit Sehgal, Arjun Bijlani and Rati Pandey.

Drashti Dhami has no problem in romance scenes with good friend Arjun Bijlani!

TV stars Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani's bond goes back to the Miley Jab Hum Tum days. But, the two got an opportunity to work together only when Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil on Star Plus came their way, after a gap of eight long years.

In a frank conversation with a famous tabloid, Drashti-Arjun honestly spoke about each other, their work equation and friendship. On working together in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Drashti told, "We were always looking forward to working with each other," and Arjun further added, "Both of us were busy with the projects offered to us. But destiny was finally in our favour, and we got a chance to work together."

The both are close friends and the serial has a romantic narrative. So was it awkward romancing each other? "We are good friends but we are also two people who want to get done with the shoots on time. We are focused on what needs to be done so it doesn’t really get awkward," revealed Drashti. Even Arjun added, "We haven’t shot many romantic scenes yet but we will be shooting them soon. We have been friends for a very long time, and we are thorough professionals. It is all fun and laughter here on the sets with Drashti."

TV star Drashti Dhami is all set to return the small screen with her new show -  Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Drashti will be seen opposite Naagin fame Arjun Bijlani in the show. 

Drashti lately returned from a month-long shooting schedule in Austria. The promos of the show are getting positive feedback from all the quarters, owing to the duo's sizzling chemistry.

In a chat with a daily, Drashti told about her co-star Arjun. "I've known Arjun since his Miley Jab Hum Tum (TV serial) days. I'd head to the sets to meet Sanaya (Irani) who was also part of the serial. Working with a familiar face makes things easier" she told, adding that the 34-year-old father of one is like a baby himself. " He cribs about petty things like the heat," she shared playfully.

Dhami and Irani have been the small screen's most renowned BFFs. Speaking about their long-standing friendship, Drashti revealed, "We started our careers together and bagged ads, TV shows, and brands simultaneously. We are very close and have discussed our professional concerns."

In the meantime, Irani, who had taken a sabbatical from acting since her wedding to beau Mohit Sehgal earlier this year, is set to return to the small screen with a new TV show, Meenu Mausi. But will the two BFFs, who are also one of the most popular actresses on TV, pair up for a show? To this, Dhami replied, "I'd love to, but I don't think any show can afford the two of us together."

Arjun Bijlani and Drashti Dhami’s TV show 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil'’s shooting stalled by Shah Rukh Khan fans!

Admirers of megastar Shah Rukh Khan delayed the shooting of forthcoming TV show 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil' in Vienna, Austria.

They believed it was Shah Rukh shooting for a cameo in the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the location. The show stars Arjun Bijlani and Drashti Dhami in lead roles.

"We were shooting a serious scene together, suddenly in minutes we realized that a crowd of fans had surrounded us" Bijlani told in a statement.

"Shah Rukh Khan is an enormously famous actor in Austria, his fans misjudged the shoot as 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' shoot and were waiting for hours just to get SRK's glimpse. Our shoot was on hold for three hours. It took a lot of time and energy to satisfy them that there is confusion," he further added.

The show 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil' will air on Star Plus from November 7.

Drashti-Arjun starrer TV show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil to begin in place Siya Ke Ram from November 7!

TV star Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani's much-anticipated Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil at last got its inauguration date. The show will replace Star Plus' myth drama Siya Ke Ram. The Balaji Telefilms’ daily will air from 7 November at the 8 pm slot.

TV serial Siya Ke Ram, that launched last year, will at last end with Siya and Ram (Madirakshi Mundle and Ashish Sharma) uniting. A source revealed, “Siya Ke Ram will end on a logical end as planned and Ekta’s new offering will take its slot. Siya Ke Ram got amazing response from audiences and the channel is positive about Pardes getting equal love.”

Apart from Drashti and Arjun, Laksha Lalwani will essay the other lead.

Mouni Roy plays opposite Karanvir Bohra but miss costar Arjun Bijlani on Naagin 2's sets!

TV avtress Mouni Roy is all geared up for Naagin 2. The actress, who will be seen paired opposite Karanvir Bohra this time, told that she will miss ex-co-star Arjun Bijlani on sets.

During the press conference of Naagin 2, Mouni told, "Everybody will miss Arjun on sets. He is this full of life and fun-loving guy who will keep joking around, talking to everybody. He has now taken all of it to Vienna and is having a gala time there. But Yes, I would want to wish him all the best. My very dear friend Drashti is also a part of the show and it is another big project Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil from Balaji's kitty and I am looking forward  to it."

While speaking about Karanvir Bohra, Mouni told, "Now we have KVB, who is also a good friend. Earlier, it was about Shivaanya and Rithvik and now it is about Rocky and Shivaangi. The earlier chemistry was a hit and I am sure this pair will also click with the audience. Who wants to see the same things again and again after all!"
