Rahul Roy justifies Kartik Aaryan’s selection for Aashiqui 3!

Previously, Kartik Aaryan made the official statement of his next Aashiqui 3 by sharing a pic with Anurag, Pritam, Bhushan Kumar, and Mukesh Bhatt. In the caption, he wrote, "Team 'A'," followed by a heart emoticon. It is said to be bankrolled by T-Series and Vishesh Films; however, the female lead actress has not been declared yet.

Lately, Rahul Roy, who started his acting career with the 1990 hit Aashiqui opposite Anu Aggarwal responded to Kartik being cast in Aashiqui 3 and said that he is 'pleased' with the casting. “Kartik is a wonderful young actor. He has a history of picking the right films. I haven’t spoken with him yet, but I hope to do so soon.”

Furthermore, he revealed that Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor represents the new generation and this film is for the youth, so he believes that Kartik will be a fantastic match. "The box-office figures are also working in Kartik’s favour, so I wish him all the best in continuing the great franchise," Rahul told.

No direction of Shashank Khaitan for Aashiqui 3!

After the enormous success of Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor's Aashiqui 2, the third installment of the movie Aashiqui 3 is perhaps one of the most awaited movies. The movie has been in news for quite some time now. But, no official confirmation has been made as yet which has left space for several speculations.  

Now, the rumor mills were abuzz with the rumors of Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt coming together for Aashiqui 3 and also suggested that Badrinath Ki Dulhania's director Shashank Khaitan will be directing the movie.

When we communicated Mahesh Bhatt to confirm the reports, he dismissed it telling that none of this is true.

News of Shashank directing the movie started doing the rounds when Alia and Shashank were spotted together outside Mahesh Bhatt's office lately.

When we asked the filmmaker if rumours of Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra finally doing the film are true, he nonchalantly replied telling, "Rumours, Rumours, Rumours."

Previously talking about Aashiqui 3, Sidharth had told, "I am in talks for 'Aashiqui 3' with Alia Bhatt, but nothing has been confirmed."

Alia's sister Shaheen Bhatt is also co-writing the script. If reports are to be believed, Alia will be seen playing the role of a singer in the third franchise.

Previously, Mahesh Bhatt had gone on record to say that the duo is far from officially signing the movie. "I don't think you can say that they are anyway official close to putting their pen on paper to say yes to that (film). It is an incorrect assumption to say that they are a part of Aashiqui 3," he had told.

Alia Bhatt is a singer now for Aashiqui 3!

Film Aashiqui 2 was maybe the first big success for director Mohit Suri. Ever since the romantic-drama emerged as a superhit at the box-office, Mohit’s demand has gone on to another level. 

A sequel to Aashiqui 2 has been in the pipeline for several months now and there were hearsays that Mohit had walked out of Aashiqui 3 over financial issues. But, now Aashiqui 3 is now predictable to roll in 2018.

Admirers are enthusiastically awaiting to see Sidharth Malhotra romance Alia Bhatt once again on the big screen in the romantic saga. Mohit has now confirmed that Alia will be stepping into a singer's shoes. He told a famous tabloid, "Since it is part of the Aashiqui franchise, Alia is playing a singer."

Previously, Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur also played singers in Aashiqui 2. It'll be interesting to see the magic of Aashiqui 3!

Alia Bhatt chooses Aashiqui 3 over Rock On 3!

Sequels are common thing in Bollywood as 2016 has been poured with numerous of these. This year, Rock On 2, Force 2, Housefull 3, Great Grand Masti and countless sequels hit the cinema screens.

Rock On 2, which was released just, did not do decent business at the box-office. So, when Alia Bhatt, who is seemingly doing Aashiqui 3 with Sidharth Malhotra was asked if she would take up Rock On 3 if offered.

To which, the cute actor told, "I would like to do the third part of Aashiqui 3."

That means Alia is ready to step into the shoes of Shraddha Kapoor for Aashiqui 3, but not Rock On 3.

Alia Bhatt’s first film with father Mahesh Bhatt has revealed!

While rumor mill had it that Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor will be seen romancing each other in Aashiqui 3, now it's been confirmed that Sidharth Malhotra and his rumored girlfriend Alia Bhatt will be playing the lead roles in the romantic musical.

The movie will be produced by Alia's dad Mahesh Bhatt, his brother Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar and the makers are currently working on the movie's script. Mohit Suri will be directing the film and he wants Sid to sing a song in it.

While Alia has already sung a few songs for her movies, this movie will mark Sidharth's singing debut. Alia and Sid have previously worked together in Student Of The Year and Kapoor & Sons.
