International diva Deepika Padukone is presently gearing up
for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. But, it seems that controversies
surrounding the movie Padmavati seem to not end at all. During the shoot of the
movie, Karni Sena disrupted the shoot in Rajasthan and director Sanjay Leela
Bhansali was also attacked by them. In spite of SLB releasing an official
statement that the film doesn't bear any sort of a romantic relationship
between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati.
While speaking about the movie, the actress told, ‘’It is
extremely overwhelming and extremely tiring as well. We have faced many
challenges but still, we stand up with the same spirit and keep on going.
Nothing can stop us.’’
Lately, an artist named Karan K put up a beautiful rangoli
of Deepika Padukone's poster from Padmavati. It took him more than 48 hours to
create the artistic rangoli but a group of protesters smashed his hard work in
no time.
Recently, Deepika criticized the protestors for destroying
an artist's hard work in a series of tweets. She posted, "absolutely
heartbreaking to see the recent attack on artist Karan and his artwork!
Disgusting and appalling to say the least!" She also revealed, "Who
are these people? Who is responsible for their actions? For how long are we
going to let this go on?" Deepika further added, "allow them to take
law into their own hands & attack our freedom & right to individual
expression time & again!?"
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film also stars
Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, the film is scheduled for
release on December 1, 2017.
