If news are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
Abhishek Bachchan will work together again in a new Hindi movie. The two are seemingly
coming together after a long time in the remake of the 1973 classic movie,
Abhimaan. The original film starred Abhishek's father and mother, Amitabh
Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri (Bachchan) in the lead. As per to a leading publication,
the remake of this phenomenal movie by Hrishikesh Mukherjee will be directed by
Tamil cinematographer-director Rajiv Menon.
Abhimaan was loved by people a lot for its story and Amitabh
and Jaya's chemistry was loved. The movie is still watched by admirers. It
would be exciting to see Abhishek and Aishwarya playing the same roles in the
remake. Just like the original Abhimaan, Abhi-Ash will depict the role of a
couple who are singers but get distanced when the wife becomes more successful
than the husband.
A source revealed a tabloid, "For a very long time,
Abhishek and Aishwarya have wanted to do another film together. Abhimaan seems
like a perfect vehicle to showcase their shared affections."
Apart from this, the duo will also work together in a movie
called Gulab Jamun. The Dhoom 3 actor had previously told about Gulab Jamun,
"That is not Anurag Kashyap's film. It is by a new director and he
(Anurag) will be producing it. We are still discussing it."
The last time Abhishek and ex miss world Aishwarya worked
together was in 2010 for Mani Ratnam's directorial Raavan.
