The Thugs of Hindostan has been able to bring the best of
talents together onboard and has been making news ever since. With an ensemble
cast including Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh,
the film finally went on floors on June 5 in Malta.
But, according to a famous daily, the film's shoot was
apparently stalled following Malta's changeable weather.
A source disclosed to a famous tabloid, “Shooting of the
film started on June 5 and stopped the very next day owing to bad weather and
subsequent heavy rainfall. Today (June 8) we are resuming our shoot."
The report even advocated that the crew members have been
strictly warned against taking their phones on set to maintain the exclusivity.
The film is rumored to be inspired by Hollywood’s franchise
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Conjectures around what could be the role of the two
actresses in the film also kept the media abuzz. But, a source previously disclosed
to a famous daily, "The script of TOH required two actresses — a raw,
rough-and-tough Indian girl who is part of Aamir’s gang of thugs and in love
with his character and a beautiful British lady with whom Aamir’s character
falls in love with. While the Indian girl will be played by Fatima, Katrina
Kaif plays the British girl."
Though nothing is official about this, a source explained to
us that Katrina isn't playing a British girl and instead has a 'classical
Indian role'.
Thugs of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and
is set to hit the screens next year during Diwali weekend.
