Film on ex-PM’s need NOC from Dr. Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi as per censor chief!

Before the release, the makers of forthcoming movie The Accidental Prime Minister, which rotates around former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, revealed the poster of the film, which stars Anupam Kher in the lead role, but it seems releasing the film may not be a stress-free task.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani has come to the forefront and told that the makers will have to get no-objection certificates (NOC) from the former Prime Minister himself and Congress President Sonia Gandhi for film certification. Nihalani went on to say that he is quite happy about Kher playing Dr. Singh as he is a versatile actor.

The project is an adaptation of Sanjaya Baru’s controversial book The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh.
