Aishwarya and Vikram to share screen again for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan?

Filmamker Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan has been in the news due to his next. A historical novel by author Kalki Krishnamurthy, it is the story of Arulmozhivarman, who later became the Chola king Rajaraja Chola I.  Seemingly, the book took three years to complete as Kalki had to visit Sri Lanka three times to collect information for it. On this novel, the filmmaker had also pronounced the project with popular stars Vijay, Vikram and Mahesh Babu. But, things did not happen as the project was getting too challenging.

But, news now has it that Mani is once again all geared up to give this one a try. Seemingly, Mani Ratnam is all set to rope in his preferred actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in this big endeavour along with Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Jayam Ravi. Amitabh Bachchan could also end up essaying the role of Sundara Chola in the movie.

Filmmaker Gautham Menon to revive 'Dhruva Natchathiram' with Vikram instead of Suriya!

Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is enjoying the success of his latest bilingual movie "Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada", is all set to revive his highly awaited Tamil spy thriller "Dhruva Natchathiram" with Vikram.

The project was firstly planned with Suriya.

"It's true that Gautham is reviving 'Dhruva Natchathiram' with Vikram. An official announcement can be expected in a week's time. This project is going to be made on an international scale. The makers are currently busy assembling the team," a source close to the filmmaker revealed.

A spy thriller along the lines of the "Bourne" series, Gautham is also planning to rope in a leading Bollywood star for a crucial role in the movie.

"The film will be predominantly shot in the US. Talks have been initiated with a popular Bollywood actor. However, nobody has been finalised yet," he told.

To be produced by Ondraga Entertainment along with another leading production house, the project is tipped to go on the floors from March 2017.

Vikram will commence work on this movie after he wraps up his next yet-untitled project with director Vijay Chander.

Remarkably, Gautham and Suriya, who were firstly supposed to work together on this project, are planning to reunite soon.
