Dhak Dhak’s ‘High Road’ by Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi!

Recently, Viacom18 Studios and Taapsee Pannu's Outsiders Films Productions in association with BLM Pictures announced a brand-new movie titled 'Dhak Dhak'. Helmed by Tarun Dudeja, the adventure movie will see Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi gearing up and setting out on the ride of their lifetime.

Viacom18 Studios, who has been behind powerful stories and strong women characters from Kahaani, Queen, Mary Kom to Padmaavat, has now joined hands with Taapsee's Outsiders Films to bring forth a story of four women and their life changing journey to the highest motorable pass in the world.

On the association, COO, Viacom18 Studios told, "Dhak Dhak is a heart-warming story of four women undertaking a trip breaking out of their cocoons & discovering themselves through this journey of introspection and adventure. This was the perfect script and resonates well with the DNA of our storytelling."

On the collaboration and producing women-oriented concept films, Taapsee Pannu told, "At Outsiders Films we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. Dhak Dhak narrates the story of four women who realise that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry  from Chashme Baddoor,  Shabaash Mithu and now to  Dhak Dhak. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”

Ratna Pathak Shah to become mother of Jayeshbhai Jordaar!

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh had pronounced last year about his forthcoming project Jayeshbhai Jordaar in which he will essay an ordinary man with extraordinary dreams.

As per latest reports, Ratna Pathak Shah has been roped in to essay Ranveer's mother in the movie. Debut director Divyang Thakkar was eager to cast Ratna Pathak in the film. He was also a protégé of the actress during his theater days. Confirming about her role, Ratna Pathak Shah revealed, "Some months ago, a young actor came to me with a script. Actors making movies can be tricky, so I was cautious as I began reading, but was thoroughly entertained by the end of the script. The story not only had a message, but also had heart. It talks about issues close to my heart."

Golmaal 3 was so crude and so uninteresting, tells Ratna Pathak Shah!

Veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah is an actress who is known for her frankness. She often voices her opinions about movies and actors. Lately, Ratna Pathak Shah attended a Summit and talked about her personal life, her career choices and all about the path-breaking movie – Lipstick Under My Burkha. She also essayed a key role in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 3. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Kunal Kemmu. She essayed the role of Geeta in the movie, whose sons stammer.

When she was questioned about her role in Golmaal 3 and the film in general, she revealed, “It was fun to do when I read that script, and when it was recited to me, I can’t tell you how funny it was. Believe me, it was a different film; what they made was not half as funny because for some reason they think the audience would not understand so they underline everything. They spoon fed everything, why? Are we dumb? And this is something I just don’t understand. Why is it that we keep making the same mistake over and over again!”

She further revealed, “Here’s a script, well written, well thought out, I mean well thought through anyway in the genre that it was looking at. It was pretending to be a great film but it was supposed to be fun. However, the way they executed it, it was so obvious and so crude and so uninteresting finally that I felt very bad. That this is something we are not able to do, but I can see that we are beginning to learn and I hope for the same.”
