Ranveer Singh to reveal about his distinctive character in Jayeshbhai Jordaar!

Presently, Ranveer Singh is making media buzz due to his forthcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The movie happens to be a social drama and features Ranveer Singh in a quirky avatar. Recently, the makers have unveiled the trailer of the film which has taken social media by storm. Fascinatingly, the trailer was launched at a grand event wherein Ranveer revealed about his role in the film.

In a media chat, the Gunday actor called his character in Jayeshbhai Jordaar distinctive. He also highlighted that he does a lot of homework to get into the skin of the character and tries present something new to the table. “When you get a role, it is upon you how much you want to invest in it, and it is always been my endeavour to create distinctive roles. When a new character comes there should be a surprise element. I like that I am able to surprise my audience. Jayesh is a very distinctive character, and I am happy I got a chance to present a completely new facet,” Ranveer was quoted as saying and revealed that he is playing such a character for the first time in his career.

Alongside Ranveer, Jayeshbhai Jordaar will also star Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead. The movie will be hitting the screens on May 13.

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh had pronounced last year about his forthcoming project Jayeshbhai Jordaar in which he will essay an ordinary man with extraordinary dreams.

As per latest reports, Ratna Pathak Shah has been roped in to essay Ranveer's mother in the movie. Debut director Divyang Thakkar was eager to cast Ratna Pathak in the film. He was also a protégé of the actress during his theater days. Confirming about her role, Ratna Pathak Shah revealed, "Some months ago, a young actor came to me with a script. Actors making movies can be tricky, so I was cautious as I began reading, but was thoroughly entertained by the end of the script. The story not only had a message, but also had heart. It talks about issues close to my heart."

Shalini is already a big name down South after starring in the superhit Arjun Reddy and insiders say her chemistry with Ranveer will be one of the highpoints of Jayeshbhai Jordaar. I already believe it.

Ranveer has called Jayeshbhai Jordaar a miracle script with a big heart, and says its sheer brilliance made him green light it on the spot. After the blockbuster hit Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh has now signed his next movie title 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar'. Now, Ranveer Singh will be seen in a Gujarati avatar as the story is set in Gujarat. Ranveer took to Instagram to pronounce his next venture and wrote, "It’s a ‘miracle script’!!! Thrilled to announce my next film - ‘JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR’."

Well, Ranveer's energy and excitement was obvious in a video shared by the actor with the writer and director Divyang Thakkar of the movie. The entertainer is being produced by YRF's homegrown producer Maneesh Sharma, who also discovered Divyang, and it will go on floors this October.

In the video, Ranveer can be seen introducing Divyang in Gujarati and their banter is quite funny. They also go on to excitedly disclose how unbelievable it all seems.

About the movie, Ranveer revealed, "'Jayeshbhai...' is a film with a big heart. In its concept as well as in its appeal, it encompasses the broadest spectrum of the cinema-loving audience - it's a film for everyone. It is, in fact, a 'miracle script' that YRF found for me out of nowhere. The sheer brilliance of the writing compelled me to immediately green-light this film. Both humorous and poignant, 'Jayeshbhai...' is right up there with the most solid on-paper material I've ever come across."
