Randeep Hooda's aggressive look in Rajkumar Santoshi's Battle Of Sargarhi!

We had informed earlier that Ajay Devgn and Rajkumar Santoshi are gearing up make movies on the same subject-the epic Battle Of Sargarhi, which took place in 1897 and though not much was known about Santoshi's movie cast then, we have now learned that the filmmaker has signed up Haryanvi hunk Randeep Hooda to play the hero Havaldar Ishar Singh.

The mahurat shot will be taken with Randeep at the Saragarhi Gurudwara in Amritsar on September 12th, and sources close to the unit state that Randeep will be going through extensive training and will be studying Sikh history. The movie will be shot on locations of Chandigarh, Punjab other northern regions and international locations. Wave Cinemas CEO Rahul Mittra told, “We have signed Randeep Hooda for a three-film deal and Battle of Saragarhi will be the first to go on floor." Battle of Saragarhi was fought before the Tirah Campaign on 12 September 1897 between 21 Sikhs of the 36th Sikh Regiment (now the 4th Battalion of the Sikh Regiment) of British India, defending an army post, and more than 10,000 Afghani and Orakzai tribesmen.

For those who do not know this, the Battle at Saragarhi is one of eight stories of collective bravery published by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). It has been mentioned as one of the five most significant events of its kind in the world which includes the Battle of Thermopylae associated with the heroic stand of a small Greek force against the mighty Persian Army of Xerxes I in 480 B.C.

Salman and Katrina pair up again?

Four years after they were paired together in Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are likely to pair up once more for a romantic action-comedy.

Apparently, talks are on to sign Katrina as the lead opposite Salman in director Rajkumar Santoshi's untitled project. Though Katrina's role is not big enough, the actress is likely to take up the project, which will be produced by Salman's sister Alvira Agnihotri.

Salman, who will be reuniting with Santoshi after 22 years after their last collaboration Andaz Apna Apna, is anticipated to start shooting for the project after he wraps up Kabir Khan's next.

After blocking the dates for his next Eid release with Kabir Khan's directorial, megastar Salman Khan has apparently booked dates for Diwali 2017 as well.

Director Rajkumar Santoshi, who has worked with Salman in the 1994 cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna will direct the Salman Khan once more! News are that Salman has given a nod to the project, which will be produced by his sister and brother-in-law, Alvira and Atul Agnihotri.

The movie is expected to be ready in time to hit the cinemas on Diwali 2017. So Bhaijaan's fans can expect a Diwali dhamaka next year!

Armaan Jain in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next titled Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Hi Nahin?

Armaan Jain's association with the Kapoor Khandaan did not help his first movie Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Even though the likes of Karisma Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were promoting the movie, it still unsuccessful to set the box office cash registers ringing.

The movie has been titled Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Hi Nahin. He seemingly has a pivotal role in the flick. It was also previously reported that Manisha Koirala and Pankaj Kapur were to be part of the movie. This movie has been adapted from the play of the same name. The movie has been in the news for many years now and it fill finally see the light of day.

Manisha Koirala to make comeback with Rajkumar Santoshi's next?

Manisha Koirala, who had taken a sabbatical from Bollywood to deal with her health issues is planning on making a comeback to Bollywood soon. According to close sources, there is a high possibility that the actress might work with Rajkumar Santoshi again after their collaboration for the hard hitting movie Lajja.

Manisha has disclosed that she has spoken to Santoshi a few times but is not ready to comment on any of the developments yet. She was last seen in the 2012 disaster Bhoot Returns. The talented actress may have chosen a few wrong movies in her career, but we really hope that we get to see her in challenging roles soon.
