While superstar Aamir Khan is busy promoting Dangal across
numerous platforms, his wife Kiran Rao is presently in an awkward situation. As
per a famous tabloid, the Khar police are investigating a complaint that jewellery worth
over Rs 53 lakh is missing from filmmaker Rao’s home in Bandra. Based on a
complaint filed by Rao’s relative, the police have registered a first
information report under Section 453 (theft in dwelling house, etc) of the
Indian Penal Code.
As per the complaint, Rao discovered sometime last week that
a ring and a diamond necklace were missing from her bedroom. Following this,
her relative filed the complaint at the Khar police station. As per the tabloid,
the three domestic helps are the prime suspects and have been
questioned over the last five-six days. The house cook Farzana, Kiran's
assistant Suzanna and domestic help Jhumki are the ones who are under the
scanner.
The police have also visited the homes of the three but have
not been able to come up with any proof. Kiran has not issued any statement on
the issue.
