Fashion diva Sonam Kapoor's newest movie Veere Di Wedding has received enthusiastic response at the box-office. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in lead roles. The lead actors in numerous media chat told that Veere Di Wedding isn't about feminism and women empowerment.

After her marriage with Anand Ahuja, Sonam changed her surname from Kapoor to Ahuja on her social media pages and some people started questioning her on feminism.

In a media chat with a daily, Sonam revealed, "As actors, in the media and in public, we are only defending ourselves. I am used to it now. Whether you are working hard? Whether you are a feminist or not? Whether you are getting married or not? Whether you are having a child or not? We keep defending ourselves. When can there be a point where there is acceptance? And that’s what being an equal and a feminist means, that you accept the other person for who they are and giving them the choice to do whatever they want to do."

She further added, "That is the whole idea of it. That is progressive thinking which is basically not judging anyone. I have written two essays on feminism. I will forward it to everybody and they can read it on my profile of what actually feminism means."

Sonam opened up on changing her surname after her wedding and the reactions she received. Sonam Kapoor told, "First of all, someone’s telling me, ‘Sonam, you have changed your last name and so, you are not a feminist.’ Who are you to tell me who I am and who I am not? That’s pretty ridiculous. Labels should not exist."

Film Veere Di Wedding has opened to optimistic reviews and has broken box-office records by registering the third highest opening day collections in 2018.

Swara Bhasker has always taken a stand about numerous issues and has voiced her opinion on social media. Swara was trolled after she wrote an open letter to Sanjay Leela Bhansali after seeing Padmaavat.

Lately, in a media chat, Swara responded to the ban of her movie Veere Di Wedding in Pakistan. She has been trolled heartlessly for her remarks. Close friend Sonam Kapoor who was in Delhi recently to meet fans at a theatre revealed, “I think people just like to troll her because she has an opinion & a point of view & I guess that shows how much they love her because the other side of hate is always love, so Swara you have a lot of lovers!”

Swara also explained her stance in a tweet that read, “I believe there should be a distinction between States/ Governments of a country and the civilians of that country. My regard for and goodwill towards the people of Pakistan remains unchanged. Some of my closest friends are Pakistani. Lahore remains one of my soul cities."

Kareena has been working out daily at the gym. The actor astonished everybody with her abs at Veere Di Wedding's trailer launch.

About working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Kareena revealed, "I am a fit girl. I have always been into fitness. It is not like I have suddenly started working out. I believe in embracing body in every form. I carried my pregnancy and my weight as well as I am doing now. I have always believed that women are beautiful in every age and phase of their lives. It is important for people to love themselves the way they are. You should be happy with what you want and your body. I did a size zero thing, but it was for a role. In Don, people said I am overweight. I am always happy with the way I am looking. Fitness is something you focus on to be healthy and active."

The trailer reveals Kareena returning as the sexy diva and looking pretty as ever. It is almost difficult to turn your face away from Bebo who is looking ravishing in each and every frame she is in and completing owning it. Sonam too fits the bill perfectly. The trailer takes us through the friendship of the four girls in their late 20s who are trying to figure out their lives just like many of us. However, things changes when one of the friends gets a proposal and her marriage is fixed. The film then focuses on the struggle a woman faces while adjusting to the new lifestyle leaving aside her carefree life.

Kareena wants 1-2 films in a year after gap of 2-3 months!

Bollywood stylish diva Kareena Kapoor Khan is doing comeback on the big screen with Veere Di Wedding after a gap of two years. Kareena took a small break as she gave birth to Taimur Ali Khan in December 2016, and since then the actor has been taking care of him and getting back into the shape as well.

Recently, the trailer for movie Veere Di Wedding is getting revealed in the city and Kareena attended the event along with her co-stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

During this, when Kareena was questioned about doing movies post Veere Di Wedding, she specified, "I'm still thinking about. I just want this movie to release. Taimur is still 16 months. I want another 2-3 months after Veere Di Wedding. But I will do 1-2 films a year."

She further spoke about doing a movie post Taimur's birth by telling, "I'm very lucky to have a husband who is so understanding. It's Saif (Ali Khan) who kind of pushed me to hit the gym and work and set an example to a lot of mothers."

Veere Di Wedding is scheduled to release on June 1, 2018.

She lately turned showstopper for first-rate fashion designer Manish Malhotra and walked the ramp in Kenya. She was questioned about her forthcoming movie, Veere Di Wedding. About which, she told, “It’s a fun film, it’s about 4 women, four friends and their life. It’s different, it’s slightly unconventional because it’s not the typical boy meets girl-fall in love that kind of a film. It’s fun but it’s still quite deep. It’s all about women power.”

Previously she had disclosed, “It is going to be quite a chic flick. Yeah! It is my wedding in the movie and it will be different. Rhea is going to style me. It will be stylish. And with Sonam - the fashionista in the movie, I surely cannot wear my jeans and t-shirt. Or you never know, I may convince her to come out of her ball gowns and wear jeans and t-shirt. Kareena and Sonam head to Phuket for a special song!

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan’s comeback movie Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding is one of the most anticipated movies. The movie hyped to be a chic-flick also stars Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhaskar.  The team wrapped up the first schedule in Delhi lately. Kareena was seen shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi with son Taimur Ali Khan as she shot for the movie.

The team also shot important sequences in Mumbai. Kareena Kapoor Khan was photographed filming a scene at the Mumbai International airport lately. A tabloid reports that the film’s cast and crew will now be flying to Phuket to shoot for a special song.

About the movie and her role, Kareena had told, “It’s the story of four girls who attend my wedding and all the dhamaal that it involves. It showcases women and their emotions. It’s the right time to do this kind of film.”

She had also revealed, “It is my wedding in the movie and it will be different. Rhea is going to style me. It will be stylish. And with Sonam - the fashionista in the movie, I surely cannot wear my jeans and t-shirt. Or you never know, I may convince her to come out of her ball gowns and wear jeans and t-shirt. You'll should wait and watch”

Kareena and Sonam will be flying to Thailand on 5th November for 10 days. They will be sporting beach wear and party hats. The fun song will be picturised on the girls. Producer Rhea Kapoor will be accompanying the team to Thailand.

The movie is being helmed by Shashanka Ghosh is slated to hit theatres on May 18, 2018. The first poster of the movie was released lately and received much appreciation.

The much-anticipated first look of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding is out. The poster also featuring Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania sees the awesome foursome donning Dulha's getup giving a fresh twist to the big fat wedding.

While Swara is seen giving a mystified look, Kareena is seen flashing a contagious smile as she dances her heart out. Sonam's enthusiasm in the poster is palpable while Shikha's expression is invaluable.

The movie is being helmed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor and will see Kareena and Sonam collaborating for the first time.

Bollywood biggies Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor are set to team up for the first time in Veere Di Wedding.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, Veere Di Weddingalso stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas.

The first look of the film will be revealed tomorrow, but the makers decided to tease the fans with a poster which features the 4 main badass leads looking beautiful.

In the photo, all clothes adorned by the actresses are by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Kareena looks beautiful in a golden yellow ghagra choli with embellishments and Sonam brings sexy back in an ivory white and golden lehenga which she paired with a unhooked blouse that had baloon sleeves. Swara looks lovely in a lemon green lehenga with mirror detailing and Shikha looks pretty in a peachy golden lehenga. 

Kareena and Sonam Kapoor participate in a two-week workshop for Veere Di Wedding!

Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor are all set to start shooting for Veere Di Wedding which is being directed by Shashanka Ghosh and also stars Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

Before they commence shooting, but, Kareena and Sonam will begin a two-week workshop for the film as per a famous tabloid. A source disclosed to the tabloid that the workshop will commence once both Kareena and Sonam are back from their vacations. 

Kareena is presently holidaying in Gstaad, Switzerland with husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur Ali Khan. On the other side, Sonam is in the USA where she is spending quality time with her rumoured boyfriend, Anand Ahuja.

Kareena spoke honestly to us about Veere Di Wedding. The actress disclosed, "We start in September. Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania all are gung-ho. It is going to be quite a chic flick. Yeah! It is my wedding in the movie and it will be different. Rhea is going to style me. It will be stylish. And with Sonam - the fashionista in the movie, I surely cannot wear my jeans and t-shirt. Or you never know, I may convince her to come out of her ball gowns and wear jeans and t-shirt. Talking of Taimur Ali Khan and how she will balance work and family life and pat comes the answer from Kareena, "He will accompany me at the shoot. Let's see how it goes by. It is going to be a task to balance everything. But I will check how it works and then take a call. Also, Saif will have to take care of Taimur on few days. That is where the Ki & Ka aspect fits in. Taimur is a priority and my shoot schedule will revolve around him."

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s baby bump will come in handy for her next ‘Veere Di Wedding'?

Actor Saif Ali Khan lately declared that his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is expecting their first child together, and now we learned that Bebo's baby bump will come in handy for her next movie. Kareena, who signed her next movie Veere Di Wedding in June, will start filming for the movie in August and by the way, the portion she will shoot for till October features her as a pregnant woman.

Previously, there was a news that Shashanka Ghosh's movie will be stuck after they announced her pregnancy, but the makers of the movie cleared the air about it. Seemingly, Kareena, who is due in December, is likely to resume the shooting of the movie three or four months after her delivery.

Apart from Kareena, the film, which is billed as a chick flick, also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
