As per reports, Ajay Devgn is all set to feature as one of
the leads in the film Bhuj: The Pride of India. Now, latest reports verified
that Sonakshi Sinha is playing the female lead's character in the film. Apart
from Sonakshi and Ajay Devgn, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati,
Parineeti Chopra and Ammy Virk among others in pivotal roles.
As per reports, the movie is based on true events which took
place during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. Ajay will be essaying the role of
Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who was in charge of the Bhuj airbase in Gujarat
during the wartime. He along with 50 Air Force and 60 Defence Service Corps
personnel survived the bombings from Pakistan and they were the ones who kept
the Bhuj airbase operational during the war.
This is not all, due to constant bombings, the town's
citizens, as well as the entire manual workforce, left Bhuj. But about 200
women from the affluent village of Madhapar helped the Indian Air Force.
