Hansal Mehta, the award winning director behind movies like
Shahid and Citylights is working on yet another hard hitting movie - a biopic
based on Indian Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted of spying and terrorism in a
Pakistani court and eventually died when he was attacked by other prisoners in
a Pakistani prison.
The movie will supposedly explore the relationship between
Sarabjit and his sister Dalbir Kaur, who spent most of her life fighting to
free her brother from jail. While the hunt is on for an actor to essay
Sarabjit's role, we hear that Kangana has been approached for Dalbir's
character in the movie. Kangana tells that she is very impressed by Hansal's
script and can identify with the character as she herself has two siblings to
whom she is very close. Sounds like another National award winning film and
performance in the making.
