Neil Nitin Mukesh to slam Hindi filmmakers for 'remaking films all the time'!

Bollywood actor and singer Neil Nitin Mukesh is a versatile star in Bollywood. He has worked in numerous films and has created a name for himself in the industry.

Recently in a media chat, the New York actor spoke on how many Bollywood films are just remakes and not original content these days. He also slammed Bollywood filmmakers and writers for not focusing on ‘original ideas and content’ and instead ‘remaking films’ all the time.

 In a media chat, Neil Nitin Mukesh told that there are various sub-genres, like psychological thrillers, political thrillers, horror thrillers, and so on. The actor questioned why isn’t anyone exploring those? “We are still remaking films instead of coming up with original ideas and content. In Bollywood, we have original ideas, but I feel that we prefer to play it safe,” told Neil. The Johnny Gaddaar actor also spoke about how an actor’s worth is determined solely by commercial success which is why he tries to strike a balance by doing all kinds of films.

Neil Nitin Mukesh is launching his brother’s behind-the-camera career.

The actor has turned producer with an untitled drama that’ll mark his younger brother Naman’s directorial debut. The film that rolls in September will be a coming-of-age story of a young boy who learns the hard way that one’s perception doesn’t always align with reality. FYI, Naman has assisted the likes of Bejoy Nambiar and Abbas-Mastan, and in recent years he’s honed his craft by helming ad films. Time will tell if he knows his stuff!

It’s a royal fairytale wedding day for Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay!

Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay are assuredly witnessing the best day of their life as the couple got wedded in an extravagant wedding ceremony that will leave you in awe. 

We came across some beautiful pictures of their special day and it will assuredly make you skip a beat. From the engagement ceremony to the colourful Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony, the joyous occasion was every bit of a fairytale. 

For the marriage, Neil was seen adorning a maroon velvet jacket with golden embellishments on it. The attire had a cream coloured kurta on the inside.

Rukmini looked magnificent in a sunset orange lehenga and like a traditional bride, she wore the dupatta over her head. She accessorised the look with a nathani, maang tikka and a choker style gold necklace, hand harness and a lot of traditional statement rings.

It’s a Sangeet and Mehendi ceremony time for Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay!

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay's dream Bollywood style wedding is coming to completion in Udaipur. The Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony was held recently. 

From the food to the decor, everything was full of colour and love. For the Mehendi, Neil wore a pink kurta, pyjama with a bandh gala and velvet shoes while Rukmini adorned a lime lehenga with embroidery all over it.

The Sangeet saw the whole family let their hair down and entertained everyone with their dance performances. Rishi Kapoor and Pamela Chopra joined the festivities and celebrated the love of Neil and Rukmini.

For the Sangeet, Neil wore a golden sherwani with a bandh gala kurta and Rukmini looked classy in a multicolour lehenga with intricate work done on it.

After wedding, Neil Nitin Mukesh to join Golmaal 4’s starcast!

Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is gearing up for his big fat marriage, will soon be joining the cast of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's Golmaal Again. He will begin shooting for the movie after his marriage with wife-to-be Rukmini Sahay in Udaipur on February 9, which will be followed by a reception in Mumbai on Feb 17.

Neil confirmed the same with a famous daily and told, "It's an interesting character of a corporate tycoon who arrives on the scene to take the story forward. I'm an ardent fan of Rohit's work and like his brand of comedy. The script is hilarious, I was in splits during the narration."

He further says, "My prep for Golmaal Again mostly involves working on the physical aspects of the character. I complete 10 years in Bollywood this year and hope Golmaal Again will take me back to the place where I shot my first film, Johnny Gaddaar. We'll also be shooting in Mumbai and Hyderabad."

Golmaal Again also stars Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tabu in the lead role.

Neil Nitin Mukesh opens up about his arranged marriage with Rukmini Sahay!

When Shahid Kapoor opted for an arranged wedding, it grabbed all the eyeballs. But Neil Nitin Mukesh feels that admirers should not be surprised if a celebrity opts for an arranged match than love.

Neil, who met his fiancée Rukmini Sahay through his parents, said to a famous tabloid, “There’s nothing shocking about it. Sometimes we overlook things, which our parents don’t and it’s coming together of two families. And when you look into detailing, it makes more sense. It’s a strong foundation."

Neil will get wedded to Ms. Sahay in Udaipur next month. When the news of his engagement came out, Neil received mixed reactions from the social media. “People would often come up to me surprised, ‘Neil you are having an arranged marriage!’ Initially, I got defensive but now I just laugh it off,” he clarifies.

For the actor, choosing a life partner has got nothing to do with what his fans expect from him. “I love the idea of fans thinking about their actors to have a fairytale life, which is beautiful. But somewhere for me, I have made sure that I draw a line between my personal and professional life,” he told.

Was legendary singer Mukesh's grandson worried about Rukmini getting intimidated by his celebrity status? “She was slightly concerned initially about the whole ‘actor thing’, but when she met me, she was very comfortable. Right now she is meeting my friends and family. It will take her time to get used to the industry we belong to. I am sure that they (industry people) will make her feel extremely welcomed and warm. Whoever has met her has loved her and she has liked them too. It’s like meeting new friends and bonding with them,” said Neil, before ending conversation.

Neil Nitin Mukesh is ready to tie the knot with fiancée Rukmini Sahay next month. The beautiful couple, who got engaged in October last year, will get hitched in a grand destination wedding in Udaipur from February 7 to 9, followed by a reception in Mumbai.

Ahead of the D-day, we have got our hands on Neil's wedding invitation. Beautifully designed by Ravish Kapoor, the wedding invite has NR initials embossed on the card, which has a coffee table book feel to it. Every page speaks of a new chapter and every function is proclaimed by a foreword from Neil's grandfather Mukesh's verses.

Lines from the movie Shor are put in first as soon as you open the invite and set the tone right. They are followed by verses from Anand for the engagement, and the introduction for the Mehendi have lines from a song in Himalaya Ki Ghod Mein. Chalia is used for the sangeet whereas Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin is used to announce the wedding. The iconic love song Kabhi Kabhi is featured in the section to announce the grand reception.  

Neil discloses, “We wanted the invite to be very personal and hence we decided to go with a compilation of memories. Everything starts and ends with Mukesh in our upbringing and the entire conceptualization for the invite came from my father and my mother. It is like a series of love ballads springing to life and I’ve already received so many calls from well-wishers telling me how much they have loved the thought behind the invite.”

Neil Nitin Mukesh gets engaged to Rukmini Sahay on Dussehra!

Another Bollywood bachelor is now set to 'settle down'. Neil Nitin Mukesh is going the arranged wedding way and he got engaged to Rukmini Sahay on Dussehra.

They got engaged at a five star hotel in Mumbai among the family and close friends. Neil and Rukmini will exchange wedding vows early next year. Rukmini belongs to the aviation industry and both the families know each other well.

His father, Nitin Mukesh told, ''Nishi, Neha, Naman and I are ecstatic. Neil is quite old school in his ways and is a firm believer in the traditional school of thought when it comes to the sacred institution of marriage. He left the decision of finding his soul mate in his parents trusted hands and there couldn't have been a better match for him than Rukmini. She has already won the hearts of the Mukesh parivaar with her simplicity and upbringing. She reflects the values and traditions that Neil has been raised with and compliments him in every way possible. The celebrations to the final countdown have already begun.''

Neil has now moved into his new house in Andheri, which has been designed by him.

Twitterati take potshots at Neil Nitin Mukesh over ‘mother wants to be his girlfriend’ remark!

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has been trolled earlier for his long name and for being too fair, has once more become the butt of all jokes, courtesy a latest statement that he made.

“I am the most romantic person probably in the world. I enjoy doing grey characters because in personal life I am totally opposite. My mom once told me that she wants to be born as my girlfriend in the next birth because she sees me how I am, I am extremely expressive and she loves me for that,” told the actor during the interview. Ever since his interview got distributed, Twitterati has been taking potshots at him.

He was last seen in Wazir co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. The rumour of him being cast in Games of Thrones sent Twitterati into a frenzy. Neil was also in the news when he was detained at an airport in Britain when authorities somehow couldn’t believe that an Indian could look so fair.
