Sonam Kapoor has given her career best performance in Neerja, says Aamir khan!

Forthcoming movie Neerja, which is based on the life of air hostess Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5th September 1986, is making all the right noises and Aamir Khan, who lately attended a screening of the film, is all admiration for the movie and its lead actress Sonam Kapoor.

Talking about the film and Sonam's performance in it, Khan told, "It's a very inspiring film. It's a film about bravery, it's a film about fighting your fears. Sonam has done amazing work in this movie. I think this is her career best performance and with this film she will be able to establish herself as a very good actress.''

Sanam Kapoor’s unhappiness over Pakistan's decision to ban 'Neerja'!

It looks that the Pakistan government has not given their approval for the release of forthcoming movie Neerja in their country and the decision has dejected Sonam Kapoor, who plays the lead role in the movie.

Sonam told, ''Extremely disheartened that Neerja isn't releasing this Friday in Pakistan. She was awarded by them and I hope they will salute her again. She saved Pakistani lives, and I can guarantee that Pakistan hasn't been shown in a poor light, I really hope and pray the film releases. When Neerja releases worldwide and people see how fair the film is, I'm hopeful that it will result in a solution to a release in Pakistan.''

Neerja, which also stars Shabana Azmi, is slated to release this weekend.

Arjun is extra protective about me, reveals Sonam Kapoor!

Arjun Kapoor might be deliberated as quite the 'cool dude' in Bollywood, but his cousin sister Sonam Kapoor begs to differ.

The actress, who will be next seen in Neerja told that though Arjun has this image of a cool dude, he is quite uncool as he is extra protective about her and that it is quite annoying when she is partying and meeting new people. Arjun has also seemingly said Sonam that the day she decides to get married, she should make Arjun meet the guy so that he can figure out if he is the right person for her.

Sonam Kapoor plans to make her directorial debut soon!

Actress Sonam Kapoor, who had aided director Sanjay Leela Bhansali before making her acting debut with Saawariya, is now planning to wield the megaphone soon, we hear.

Sonam told that she is planning to make her directorial debut in the next couple of years and that she wants to work on movies about strong women. Sonam also added that in her opinion, more women directors are required in Bollywood.

No charge for 'Neerja' rights by Bhanot's family!

Sonam Kapoor will be next seen essaying air-hostess Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life trying to save passengers from armed terrorists during a hijack crisis in Neerja and we recently learned that Bhanot's family did not charge the producers anything for the rights to the story.

A source revealed, ''When the idea of making a film on this particular case hit the makers, they immediately got in touch with Neerja Bhanot's family who reside in Chandigarh. The makers met Neerja's mother and her two brothers to discuss what they had in mind. After sharing the idea, Neerja's brother just had one request, they did not ask for any money to purchase the right of the subject. Infact the family only said that to keep the honour of Neerja intact while the filming of the movie!.''

"We are all touched by Neerja's family's gesture (of not asking for any money). We have all given more than our 100% to live up to their expectations, and do full justice to Neerja's story,'' tells director Ram Madhwani.

Salman discloses ‘How he conquers fear’!

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, who is feared by many in the industry, lately disclosed how he conquers fear by following his father's guidance, in a video.

Sonam Kapoor, who will be next seen in Neerja, has been asking fans and celebs to talk about their fears via videos, for a campaign for her movie and her Prem Ratan Dhan Payo co-star lent his support by making a badass video where he discloses that when they were kids, his father, noted writer Salim Khan used to tell them 'Jo darr gaya wo marr gaya'. Salim Khan later added this dialogue in Sholay and it went on to become one of the most popular dialogues of all time.

Special Screening of Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja for Hijack survivor!

Neerja which is scheduled to release on Feb 19, 2016 starring Sonam Kapoor as Neerja's character seems to have created quite a buzz with its promos and has people's curiosity levels increased. The movie is based on the life of senior flight crew member - Neerja Bhanot who was shot dead by terrorists who hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi on 5 September 1986.

Director Ram Madhvani, is said to be organizing a screening of Neerja for one of the hijack survivors Shirin Kureshi. Shirin was in her early 20s when the incident happened and was traveling with her dance troupe for a performance. She was shot during the hijack, and now she has shared actual information on how Neerja Bhanot saved their lives without bothering about her own.

In a current interview, Shirin has seemingly told that when she got a chance to be on the set and see the shoot, she experienced numbness and was in tears. Shirin further expressed that watching the trailer was impactful and hit her hard giving her Goosebumps. According to Shirin it would bring back memories for all the people who have survived the incident. Kureshi also shared that Neerja had a very striking and pleasing personality. Seemingly as per Shirin's version, initially during the attack because of the chaos and panic they were not aware of Neerja's brave deeds. All the crew members stood by their duty and promised to put the passengers before their own life. Afterward, the passengers got to know all that Neerja did.

While Shirin is keen to watch the Neerja biopic she knows that watching the movie will make her remember the incident again. Shirin expressed a deep sense of gratitude to people like Neerja for the second life she was living now.
