Playing double-role isn't easy, admits Arjun Kapoor!

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor will be seen essaying a double-role for the second time in his five-year-old acting career in upcoming "Mubarakan". He tells it's difficult to play a twin role in movies.

The 32-year-old earlier played a double-role in the 2013 movie "Aurangzeb".

Questioned how easy or difficult it is for an actor to play a double-role on screen, Arjun revealed, "It's definitely not easy. It is difficult. But, it's a challenge you look forward to as an actor. That's what excites you, makes you nervous and work harder because you are not just playing, but two and especially with comedy... With 'Mubarakan' being a comedy there is a definite new situation for me."

The "2 States" actor tells he has not done comedy before, but his movies have had a dose of humour.

"I have never done an out-an-out entertainer. Of course, there is a certain amount of nerves that come into prepare... but then you have a good director like Anees Bazmee, who is the king of comedy and king of double roles... You know he will walk you though it. That challenge was very exciting because I had Anees sir," Arjun further added.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, "Mubarakan", which also features Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty, is scheduled for release on July 28.

My role in Mubarakan has never been seen in Hindi films, reveals Arjun Kapoor on his double role!

Arjun Kapoor’s new movie Mubarakan is all set to hit the theatres soon and the actor will be seen in a double role for the second time on the big screen. But, the movie is coming at a time when his close friend and counterpart Varun Dhawan is also shooting for his movie called Judwaa 2.

And as the name suggests, Varun will also be seen in a double role in his movie.

 

Now, after the trailer of Arjun Kapoor’s movie, Mubarakan got released yesterday, the comparison between the two was of course unavoidable.

Clearing the air on the matter, Arjun told at the trailer launch event that his role in Mubarakan is very unique, it is not something that one has seen anywhere in the Hindi film landscape.

He added, “Firstly to understand that I am his (Anil Kapoor's) 'Bhanja' (maternal nephew) and 'Bhatija' (paternal nephew), you will get to witness the newness in this double role.”

Arjun added that he won’t like it if the comparisons are made and it shouldn't happen because Varun is his friend and they just want to make good films.

“So people should not do any comparative studies and if both the films entertain the audience with its uniqueness that would be a good thing,” he concluded.   

The new poster of Mubarakan is out and it has the whole cast of the movie including Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty.

In the poster, we can see Anil holding a selfie stick, while two characters played by Arjun - Karan and Charan are all smiles in the front seat. Whereas Athiya and Ileana are seen pouting for the camera.

Ileana D'Cruz’s fight with Athiya Shetty for her real pyaar Arjun Kapoor!

Mubarakan starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Athiya Shetty is all set to release on July 28, 2017. The movie has been directed by Anees Bazmee and stars Arjun Kapoor in a double role.

Ileana, who was present for the trailer launch of Mubarakan, was asked if she and Athiya ever indulged in a cat fight during the shoot of the movie. Replying to this, Ileana said, "It was fun. We had some mad time there. Athiya and I bonded a lot. There were no cat fights. The only cat fight we had were over Arjun. He is the realpyaar."

Her answer really won our hearts.

Athiya who was also present at the event, while talking about her experience while working for the movie said, "I feel blessed to be here. It is my second film. I am proud of myself. Had a fab journey and I learnt so much watching and observing. Anees [Bazmee] sir, Ileana, Arjun, it was amazing working with them."

This is the second time we will see Arjun in a double role after Aurangzeb released in the year 2013. He will be sharing the screen space with his real-life uncle Anil in the film and they will be seen playing the role of Chacha-Bhatija too.

Earlier, Arjun shared a quirky poster of the film. In the poster, a naughty Karan is seen pulling cheeks of a clueless Charan. Arjun captioned the poster saying, "Karan & Charan are here to win your hearts with double the fun, double the laughs and double the madness. #MubarakanTrailer"

Arjun Kapoor, who is currently shooting for Mohit Suri's Half Girlfriend in Cape Town, will also play the lead role in Anees Bazmee's Mubaraka and we overhear that the actor will be seen romancing Athiya Shetty in the movie.

Fascinatingly, in the recent past there was a strong news that Arjun and Athiya were an item but, the former slammed the reports telling that Athiya is his sister Anshula's friend and that he has known her for many years. The movie also stars Arjun's uncle Anil Kapoor and this is the first time the chacha-bhatija duo would be sharing screen space.

Shetty made a rather disappointing debut with Hero and here's hoping she'll be able to win the viewers hearts with this one.
