The movie is a Bollywood remake of the Telugu movie Jersey, which won a National Award and starred Nani. Jersey will star Shahid in the role of a cricketer. Both the actors have already started promoting the movie.

Recently, Mrunal posted a loveable pic with Shahid amid their promotional activities and Shahid responded back equally sweetly. In the selfie, Mrunal and Shahid could be seen smiling ear-to-ear, looking absolutely stunning. Mrunal was in a gorgeous white and blue dress. On the other side, Shahid looked dashing in a striped white and pink suit. Along with the picture, Mrunal sweetly wrote, “@shahidkapoor Arjunnnnnnnnnnn,” referring to the name of the character Shahid is essaying in the film. Just after a while, Shahid reposted the pic and cutely wrote, “Hello Vidyaaaa,” which is Mrunal’s character’s name.

Shahid Kapoor reveals his feelings about Jersey with dad!

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Jersey with father Pankaj Kapur. While the shooting of the movie is yet to be completed and has been delayed due to the Coronavirus lockdown, Shahid and Pankaj Kapur have shot for portions of the movie together. While Pankaj Kapur has been all admirations for his son’s last act in Kabir Singh.

In a latest Ask Me session, a fan questioned Shahid about his experience of working with dad Pankaj Kapur in Jersey. About this question, Shahid replied to the fan and wrote, “I still get nervous sharing the frame with him.”

The shoot of Jersey is still pending and as soon as the lockdown gets over, it will begin. The movie also stars Mrunal Thakur and is produced by Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill. It is scheduled to release on August 28, 2020.

Mrunal Thakur is reel breadwinner for Shahid Kapoor!

Mrunal Thakur has officially signed Gowtham Tinnanuri’s remake of the sports drama Jersey.

The actress pipped the original Telugu film’s lead Shraddha Srinath at the post to land the chance to romance Shahid Kapoor in the cricket-centric film. This will be Mrunal’s third big movie after Super 30 and Batla House, and she’ll play the breadwinner who supports her husband’s aim to make it back into top-level cricket. I’m 100% certain that this will be Mrunal’s third consecutive hit!

Shahid Kapoor to wear Jersey for cricket!

Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor finally pronounced his next film and it is none other than the Hindi remake of the Telugu movie, Jersey. Shahid took to social media to share a post in which he could be seen training in the nets. Dressed in a white uniform, Shahid can be seen all padded up and working on his cricketing skills. The movie originally was made in Telugu and was a big hit. 

While speaking about the same, Shahid revealed, “It took me some time to decide what to do next after 'Kabir Singh'. But the minute I saw 'Jersey', I knew I wanted it to be my next. It is a wonderful inspiring and personal human journey that I connected with deeply.”

In the photograph, Shahid can be seen perfecting his batting skills. Shahid shared it with a caption, "#jersey the prep begins."

The film’s shoot will start in Chandigarh this month.
