Now Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki to release in China!

Actress Rani Mukerji’s film Hichki, which won hearts in India, is all set to release in China. The Siddharth P Malhotra directorial received a standing ovation at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The movie has been titled 'Teacher With Hiccup' for the 12th October release in China.

While talking about the film's release in China, Rani told, "It's truly amazing when films can cross over to different cultures and languages because of its universal story. 'Hichki' is a reflection of society, a reflection of how we all have weaknesses and we need to overcome them to make the world a better place. Social dramas find a connect with audiences in China and I am hopeful that my film with resonate with everyone especially the teachers, students and parents."

Apart from China, the film also entertained audiences in Kazakhstan, Russia.

Hichki from a generation that thinks different, says Big B!

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan praised the trailer of actress Rani Mukerji’s comeback movie "Hichki" by telling that the movie has been made from a generation that thinks in a different way.

Helmed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films (YRF), "Hichki" rejoices self-belief, the resilience of human spirit and hope. The movie is about turning hindrances into opportunities and staring down at challenges and ultimately, winning over them.

While sharing a link to the trailer of the movie on Twitter on Sunday, Amitabh posted, "A link to the creative agenda of this generation… of doing different, working different, achieving different... From a generation that thinks different! My wishes as ever."

"Hichki", which also features Harsh Mayar and Supriya Pilgaonkar, is scheduled for a release on February 23, 2018. 

Rani Mukerji becomes a teacher with Tourette syndrome problem!

Multitalented actress Rani Mukerji was last seen in Mardaani (2014) and on December 9, 2015, she gave birth to a baby girl Adira Chopra. Admirers have been waiting for her comeback in Bollywood and finally, the day has come. 

Rani will next be seen in Hichki which traces the journey of an adorable teacher who suffers from Tourette syndrome. Students make fun of the side-effects of her disease and schools do not agree to hire her. Finally, she gets admitted to one of the schools but has to deal with a set of municipal students who no one wants to teach.

Finally, we get to see the journey of the teacher as well as the misfit students who try to find their place in the world.

In the meantime, when Rani was questioned about her comeback previously, the actress specified, "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up."

Rani Mukerji wants to work with husband but not possible in real!

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji is gearing up for the promotions of her comeback movie, Hichki. The trailer of the movie directed by Sidharth Malhotra will release soon.

Rani revealed to a journalist about her movies and family. Rani revealed her reason for not being on social media. She told, “I have chosen not to be on social media as I don’t think I am capable of doing that. I don’t think I am capable of posting my personal images or of my family’s. My images are all out there and people have the right to comment on it. But, I wouldn’t be comfortable posting a picture of my daughter.”

She also disclosed her favorite directors and named Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Imtiaz Ali, Zoya Akhtar, Raju Hirani as her favorites. She told, “Firstly, I would love to work with my husband, I don’t think he wants to work with me. He just feels that on the first day on set we might just get into a fight and he might walk out and I will walk out and there’ll be no film. I’ve had the chance to work with great directors. So, I want to repeat that; I would love to work with Karan Johar again, with Bhansali again. I would love to work with Mani Sir again, Raju Hirani ofcourse. From the current lot, I love Imtiaz. I love Zoya, I unfortunately couldn’t do her first film. I like the energy she brings in a film.”

Hichki is scheduled to release in February next year. This will be Rani’s first film after the birth of her daughter, Adira.

Today, the film has finally gone on floors today and the official Twitter page of Hichki shared a short and sweet video, where Rani is seen writing on the blackboard with a chalk, "Shoot Starts Today!!!" In the end of the video, we can see Rani flashing a gorgeous smile.

It’s official guys – Rani Mukherji is heading back to work with Siddharth P Malhotra’s Hichki.

The drama is being described as the inspiring story of a woman who turns her biggest weakness into her biggest strength, and it’ll be produced by Maneesh Sharma for Yash Raj Films. Rani says she’d been looking for a script that would really challenge and excite her, and that’s when Hichki came along. Rani Mukerji’s Hichki has revealed!

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji who took a leave post her delivery is all set to make her comeback with her forthcoming flick Hichki, which will be produced under the Yash Raj film banner. Taking to Instagram, YRF has pronounced that the film Rani will be starring in will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and will be produced by Maneesh Sharma.

The YRF post quotes Rani telling that she has decided to take up the offer as the movie is built on a positive premises of not succumbing to one's weakness. "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up," Rani posted.

Hichki is a tale of a strong woman who under various circumstances turn her biggest weakness into her strength.

Rani was last seen playing the role of a police officer in the movie Mardaani. She but went missing from the silver screen post pregnancy. Rani and hubby Aditya Chopra were blessed with a baby girl Adira last year in December.
