The gorgeous girl Sonarika Bhadoria who is known as TV
Serial's Parvati, Sonarika became a household name with her act on Devon Ke Dev
Mahadev. The actress, a few months ago, was in news for her hot and bold
bikini pics which along with praises also invited a lot of disgust comments and
criticism.
We lately caught up with the actress at the trailer launch
of her forthcoming film Saansein.
"When an actor stands up for themselves, people think
it's a promotional activity and publicity. I want to put it out loud and clear
that I wasn't looking out for any kind of publicity for myself. I have my film
coming up and I don't need to go out and look out for different ways of
promotion. At that time, I was in Mauritius, happily vacationing with my
brother. If I am going to a beach, I will wear a bikini. I liked the pictures
and hence posted them on my social account. Little did I know that people still
live in that era where a girl is not allowed to skin show and if she does, then
she is slut-shammed! It was fine to a point until people dragged my
family into the matter and used derogatory words for them. I couldn't bear it
and hence decided to give it back to the haters. Unfortunately, in today's
world, everything just goes viral in no time. The entire thing was just blown
out of proportion," revealed Sonarika.
On being asked how tough it was to break her Parvati image
and make followers relate to her as Sonarika after she abandon the show,
the actress shared, "When I was Parvati, wherever I went, people initially
could not believe that I was the same girl who played the goddess' role. I
realized that it was important to make people know that I am Sonarika. So,
since I am on social media, I started posting my pictures in a regular
avatar. Thankfully, the Urban janta had in mind that the on screen’s
Parvati is just another normal girl. But then there were people who refused to
accept my original identity and these were the ones who passed nasty comments
on My Bikini Pictures."
Sonarika Bhadoria is all set for her bollywood debut opposite
Rajneish Duggal in Saansein. The movie also stars Hiten Tejwani.
