I let people down with Jab Harry Met Sejal, says SRK!

Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is hectic in promoting his forthcoming movie, Zero. As soon as the trailer of the movie was launched on SRK’s birthday - one, the trailer went viral garnering million of views within few hours. After the disaster of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), just like SRK, all his admirers can’t wait for the actor to weave his magic yet again on screen with Aanand L. Rai’s movie and in a latest media chat, SRK opened up about the fiasco of Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Recently, SRK opened up about Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal- which flopped at the BO. Shah Rukh Khan admitted, “I let people down with Jab Harry Met Sejal, which was an utter flop. But I didn’t want to let anyone down; I just liked the fact that koi story nahin thi, sirf ek ring ke chakkar mein the two people (SRK’s Harry and Anushka Sharma’s Sejal) kheechey chale jaate hain… it was very organic, slice-of-life thi. The other day I met a director who mentioned the term ‘slice-of-life’ and I said, ‘nahin, poora pumpkin do mujhe iss baar.”

According to reports, Jab Harry Met Sejal could only garner 60 crore approximate business at the box office.

Film Zero is scheduled to release on December 21, 2018.

I stand nowhere close to Yash Chopra, admits Imtiaz Ali!

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan for his forthcoming endeavor, Jab Harry Met Sejal. The movie has been in news ever since it has been pronounced. At an event yesterday, Imtiaz was questioned about working with SRK in the film.

Imtiaz told, "He is the most gracious, funny, passionate person, filmmaker friend that one can hope for. It's his kindness that the film has turned out so well. I'm happy that I got a chance to work with THE Shah Rukh Khan. I hope I've been able to justify the huge talent and resource that the man is."

Lately, Imtiaz Ali was compared to Yash Chopra. On this, he told, "To be compared to Mr. Yash Chopra is both, a matter of unbelievable pride and a little embarrassment and humiliation because in my own eyes I stand nowhere close to him."

He went on to add, "I would never say that I have any quality which resembles him because for me, he is just a huge legend. Just my name being taken in the same sentence as Yash Chopra will make my family very proud."

He was also questioned about his friend Ranbir Kapoor's forthcoming movie, Jagga Jasoos. Will he watch it? Responding to this, he told, "I am very excited, almost nervous about the prospect of Jagga Jasoos. I'll be there first day, first show to watch the film and I wish everybody does, because this is the most hugely talented director and actor coming together."

Anushka Sharma explains her name “Sejal” meaning to SRK!

There is a mini trail of Jab Harry Met Sejal and it's all about Anushka Sharma.

In the trail, Anushka is seen clarifying the meaning of her name Sejal to Shah Rukh Khan by making a wave with her hand gestures. SRK also mimics her and when she is about to reveal her name's meaning, Harry (SRK) told, "Naam se hi kaam chalalenge." Moreover, they are even searching for Sejal's lost engagement ring and look super tensed.

It's funny to see Harry and Sejal's cute wrangling in the fourth mini trail.

Speaking about the premise of the movie, Jab Harry Met Sejal shows the journey of SRK and Anushka across Europe. It will be showing us how a search for Sejal’s engagement ring makes Harry understand love & relationships better. Sejal experiences new found freedom, security and solace in Harry’s company.

This is SRK and Anushka's first outing with Imtiaz and the third movie with each other after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

A Punjabi track from the movie is set to be revealed next week and will be picturised on SRK and Anushka. A source disclosed to the tabloid, "Another song will be unveiled next week and the next few promos will be aligned with the feel of the song. It is an upbeat Punjabi song."

The source further added, "The superstar will be seen wearing a turban throughout the second half of the film. Shah Rukh plays a Punjabi munda, Harinder Singh, who is called Harry in Canada. The first half will be about SRK playing a tourist guide to Anushka Sharma’s Sejal in Europe and the second half will see them coming to India. They will come back to Mumbai and then go to Punjab, where SRK will be seen returning to his roots and sporting a turban." 

SRK and Anushka’s electrifying chemistry in Radha song!

The initial song from Jab Harry Met Sejal is out. Titled Radha, the track is picturised on the leads Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.

In the music video, Harry essayed by SRK explains to Anushka aka Sejal why Punjabi singers sing so loud and that is because they are farmers and they have to be louder than the sound of the tractor. Then he starts singing the song and Anushka joins him and they make a perfect melodious part.

In the video, there are a few mischievous sequences, where Anushka is seen lying in the backseat of the car and pulling Shah Rukh's ear with her toe. Towards the end of the song, Harry comes back into his cheap avatar and flirts with Sejal in a crazy way by roaring like a tiger.

Radha is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shahid Mallya and the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil. The amazing music of the track is given by Pritam.

Jab Harry Met Sejal is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is scheduled to release on August 4, 2017. In the film, SRK and Anushka's character names are Harinder Singh Nehra and Sejal Parikh respectively.

SRK wants a film every year with Imtiaz Ali!

From the year 2016, Shah Rukh Khan has been working with several directors for the first time in his career. Starting off with FAN, the film was helmed by Maneesh Sharma, then he worked with Gauri Shinde in Dear Zindagi and this year we saw him work with Rahul Dholakia in Raees for the first time.

And now he is all set to be seen in an Imtiaz Ali film titled Jab Harry Met Sejal. During an interaction with a leading daily, SRK spoke about Imtiaz saying, "Main ekbahut badi baat bolne wala hoon (I am going to say a very big thing). [Till now], I have worked with some really nice directors but I can say that Imtiaz is like a modern-day Yash Chopra. I don’t think apart from Adi (Aditya Chopra) and Karan (Johar), who have learnt hands-on from Yashji, anyone else gets the same vibe (as Chopra’s films)."

He further said that he is doing a romantic film after a long time and said about Ali, "Be it his writing or the way he gets [the essence of] man-woman relationship in a very sweet manner, along with having a modern take on it, it’s very beautiful."

Imtiaz is known for making edgy films, but SRK said that JHMS is not edgy. He added, "This one is funny and happy. Also, Imtiaz believes in songs, and so you will see the girl and boy breaking into a song in the streets. But he prefers more of [other cities in] Europe than just Switzerland (Chopra’s favourite shooting location). He has a lot of Yashji kind of qualities."

King Khan went on to say, "I wish I could do a film with Imtiaz every year in the genre that he wants because it’s very easy working with him. He also loves his actors the way Yashji would. Also, he is very gentle and kind, so it was great fun to team up with him."

SRK and Anushka scream for love!

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are treating fans with the new posters and mini trails of their upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal. From Sunday, every day a new teaser has been shared by both of them and the movie truly looks like a winner already.

Now, SRK and Anushka shared the new poster of the film and it's giving us a glimpse of their relationship in the film. While sharing the poster, the lovely duo even revealed that they will be releasing the first song from the film and that is Radha.

On Saturday night, King Khan shared a video where he said that he will be meeting the girls whose name is Sejal. Talking about it, Anushka asked SRK, "Herry! Suna hai you’re going to meet a lot of Sejals in Ahmedabad? Main kaafi nahi thi? @iamsrk @RedChilliesEnt"

Whereas SRK captioned the poster saying, "Well, they have all agreed to be my Radha! Do you? @AnushkaSharma @RedChilliesEnt

SRK is an A1 character for Anushka Sharma!

The third mini promo of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's Jab Harry Met Sejal is out and this time the tagline is 'Excuse Hai'. The mini trail starts with a stubborn Anushka Sharma denying to leave the place without finding the ring.

While Anushka is hesitant to go, Shah Rukh Khan seems to be frustrated with her stubbornness and yet is concerned for the girl. He is seen patiently dealing with Sharma's character. The promo ends with Anushka calling SRK 'A1 character'.

Both Shah Rukh and Anushka shared the third promo on Twitter with a peculiar caption. "Excuse yeh hai ki main character hu…A1! @AnushkaSharma #JHMSMiniTrail3," posted SRK.

Anushka posted, "Herry, actually you have a problem with everything! What's your excuse? @iamsrk @RedChilliesEnt http://bit.ly/JHMSMiniTrail3 #JHMSMiniTrail3."

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Jab Harry Met Sejal is all set to release on August 4, 2017. The movie was initially slated to release on August 11, 2017, along with Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. However, Khan later averted the clash by releasing the movie a week before the slated release.

In the meantime, the trailer of the movie is scheduled to come out this week, and will be attached to Salman Khan's Tubelight which releases on June 23, 2017. 

The first look of SRK-Anushka starrer Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal!

We have been catching Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma shooting for their Imtiaz Ali film, numerous times, in Mumbai and Punjab. Though the shooting of the film was going on in full force, the title of the movie was yet unsure. So much so that it became a laughing matter as SRK himself threw a dig as it sometime back.

Shah Rukh had posted, "TGIF! Survived the week inspite of a plane crash, fatal accident on sets & yet another title of Imtiaz Ali film!"

Well, the film, which has been tentatively named The Ring, Rehnuma and Raula before, has finally got its permanent title. That's correct, the film is now called Jab Harry Met Sejal.

See the two posters that have been released by the team. The poster has the tag line, "What you seek is seeking you." Both Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are seen having a blast in the fun posters, which has a backdrop of drawings of a world tour route.

The name seems to be a mix version of Jab we Met and When Harry Met Sally. While a part of the viewers is complaining that the name is not at all original, others are loving the fun ring to it.

Imtiaz had earlier spoken about the film telling, "The film is going to release on August 11."

Speaking about the clash with Akshay Kumar's film Toiler Ek Prem Katha, Imtiaz had told, "There are only 52 weeks in a year and some of them have been taken away by other things and of course, there are more than 52 films. So, clashes are not a big deal."
