Singer Ed Sheeran to quit music! Know why?

Grammy-winning singer Ed Sheeran reveals he will quit music once he starts a family with fiance Cherry Seaborn.

"My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. I am going to be like, 'I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of'. It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, 'I want to be a good father'," told Sheeran, 26.

The singer has been vocal about having children for a long time, reports an entertainment portal.

"I think the wheels should be in motion by the time I'm 30. But it's not really up to me. It's a two-way street. It has to be up to the partner as well," told Sheeran.

The singer met Seaborn, 24, when they were both students at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk. But they were separated when Seaborn left high school to attend Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Hollywood star Beyonce Knowles changes her email address every week, says singer Ed Sheeran, who collaborated with the pop star on his track "Perfect".

"I have an email address I email (to get in touch with Beyonce). It actually changes every week. So I emailed that and we got on the phone, and it's been in the works since May," told Sheeran, reports in a portal.

In the meantime, Sheeran was overjoyed to get the songstress on the track, which is off his hit album "Divide", and enjoyed having her input on the backing track too.

Ed Sheeran reveals he ‘will become godfather’ to James Blunt’s son!

Hollywood singer Ed Sheeran has disclosed that singer-musician James Blunt has made him the godfather to his son.

"James is like a brother to me, actually I'm not quite sure if I can say this, but I'm going to - he's just made me god¬father to his son," Ed revealed in a Hollywood portal.

He further added, "To be honest, I think he's only done it because he knows I've got a good idea of what sort of person he'd want him to be when he grows up - an absolute lad. We're going to be brothers for life."

Blunt earlier named the late "Star Wars" actress Carrie Fisher as the godmother of his son, whose name has not been disclosed.

Fisher passed away in December last year.

Ed Sheeran captivated thousands of Indian Fans as he took center stage in Mumbai bringing his Divide tour to India.

The 26-year-old singer; donned in a light blue kurta which had 'Divide' written in Hindi as well as Team India's jersey, crooned his classic hits like Shape of You, Perfect, Sing, Bloodstream, The A-Team, You Need Me I Don't Need You amongst others.

In a talk with a leading media agency, Ed was all admirations for Bollywood and disclosed a very surprising fact about which Bollywood movie he has seen. "I have seen Bollywood films such as 2 States," Ed told and further added,” I heard some songs and seen some actors. I would love to do something in Bollywood... maybe with Shah Rukh Khan. It will be something in their (Bollywood) style."

In the meantime, before the Divide Mumbai concert, Ed was given the true Bollywood welcome by Farah Khan who hosted a roof-top party for the singer. 

Film with SRK would be quite cool, says Ed Sheeran!

British singer-musician Ed Sheeran, who swept his admirers off his feet here with his concert, feels a "welcoming" and "warm" vibe in India, where he thinks a association with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will be "quite cool".

"Bollywood is bright and colourful. A film with Shah Rukh Khan would be quite cool," Sheeran, a Grammy Award winner, said a media source.

Sheeran, who was on his second visit to India, had met Shah Rukh on his last time here too, and they met again on Saturday night at a party organised by choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan.

"I met so many people at the party, they are such nice people," Sheeran said of the celebrations, which saw a string of Bollywood celebs trying to match steps and click selfies with the globally popular music icon, who is all of 26.

Ed Sheeran quits Twitter after being trolled for his cameo!

The first episode of the fantasy series Game Of Thrones Season 7 premiered recently. The Twitterati went wild ever since the social media got flooded with spoilers. People waited with bathed breath to catch a prevue of their favourite pop star Ed Sheeran in the episode.

While numerous escaped spoilers successfully, those who watched weren't really impressed with Ed Sheeran's cameo.

In fact, ever since his cameo, twitter has exploded with numerous memes. Numerous couldn't stop but connect it with his Shape of You song, others wondered what was the purpose of the cameo anyway. To give you a sneak peek into the hilarious ride you are up for, here is how the memes read, “The club isn’t the best place to find lover so the forest is where I go, me and my friends at the fire doing rum drinking fast then we talk slow.”

But, seems like Ed was visibly offended with the trolls and in response to it decided to quit Twitter without any warning. Yes, that's right!  Ed Sheeran has deactivated his Twitter account.

Speaking about the first episode, without revealing any spoilers here, all we can say if all the characters have lived up to the hype bringing to the foray a masterpiece. Ed Sheeran’s goodbye to Twitter over mean comments and hatred!

A lot of celebrities have said goodbye to Twitter and the latest to quit the micro-blogging site is Brit singer Ed Sheeran. The Shape of You hit-maker told a leading Hollywood daily, “I've actually come off Twitter completely. I can't read it. I go on it and there's nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter's a platform for that.”

“One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off The head-f*** for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much”, he further added.

Sheeran also clarified that he gets all the ego-checking he needs from his family and friends, so anonymous strangers shouldn't feel obligated to chime in. "I have people like my dad who will have a conversation with me," Sheeran told. "I don't have to have someone calling me a whatever."

Sheeran’s account will still be active, however, as the singer-songwriter will still be posting regularly to his Instagram, which will automatically generate tweets with the same content. But he won't be checking back in to see what Twitter users have written in response.

Singer Lady Gaga came out in support of Ed Sheeran on Instagram and shared a pic with a caption that read, “What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED @edsheeran deserves all our love and respect like all humans do. I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. No reason to tear down an artist simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity.”

Sheeran's last Twitter posts were made after his Glastonbury performance, where he first criticized people who thought he was using a backing track when in fact he had his usual loop station set-up.

My live shows are live, replies Ed Sheeran to trollers!

Singer Ed Sheeran, who is due to perform in India later this year, has hit back after he was accused of not performing live at his Glastonbury concert.

Sheeran took to Twitter recently to clarify that what the viewers and concertgoers heard during his performance was a skilled use of loop station instead of a backing track, reports a leading portal.

The "Shape of You" hitmaker told that he always performed live and asked people to google the difference between looping and backing track.

"Never thought I'd have to explain it, but everything I do in my live show is live, it's a loop station, not a backing track. Please google," he posted.

During his headlining set at Glastonbury, Sheeran performed fifteen songs, including "Castle on the hill", "Thinking out loud" and "You need me, I don't need you".

But, some viewers were confused when they heard guitar sound while the singer didn't play anything. This led to some Twitter users to accuse the singer of using backing tracks during his live performance.

A Twitter user posted, "Come on Ed Sheeran, where is the live band? Backing tracks! #live music!"

Another tweeted, "Did Ed Sheeran really 'play' Glastonbury last night? Sure he sang (pretty well) over a backing tape but did he 'play' anything? Guitar? No."
