Operation Sindoor: Vivek Agnihotri and T-Series Announce Film on India’s Bold Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan
In a major announcement that has sent ripples through the
film industry, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has joined forces with BhushanKumar’s T-Series for his next feature film titled Operation Sindoor.
The movie is set to chronicle one of the most daring and strategically
significant military operations in India's recent history: the deep strikes
conducted in response to the 2025 Pahalgam terror attacks.
Inspired by True Events and Military Grit
The film is an official adaptation of the book Operation
Sindoor: The Untold Story of India's Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan, authored
by Retired Lieutenant General K.J.S. 'Tiny' Dhillon. It aims to provide
a step-by-step look at the precision strikes that targeted terror
infrastructure across the Line of Control (LoC) following the April 22, 2025
massacre in Pahalgam, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
A "Revelation" of Modern Warfare
Producer Bhushan Kumar described the project as more than
just a film, calling it a "revelation." He emphasized the
responsibility of documenting events of such magnitude truthfully. Director
Vivek Agnihotri, known for his research-heavy narratives like The Kashmir
Files and The Bengal Files, stated that the film is the result of
extensive ground-level research conducted in collaboration with multiple wings
of the Indian Armed Forces.
According to Agnihotri, the operation was a defining moment
where a nuclear-armed nation carried out precise strikes inside another
nuclear-armed state, effectively dismantling terror launchpads while
maintaining strategic restraint.
What to Expect
- Authenticity:
The film promises a "unsettling reality" far more complex than
what is currently in the public domain.
- Scale:
Backed by T-Series and Agnihotri’s I Am Buddha Productions, it is
being mounted as a high-budget nationalistic project.
- Timeline:
The narrative will specifically focus on the tense period between May 6
and May 10, 2025, detailing the strategic resolve of India's leadership
and military.
