Bollywood’s new pair Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur are presently
gearing up for their forthcoming movie Super 30. The Vikas Bahl directorial is
based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and how he began his educational
program Super 30.
Ever since the first look was shared, there has been a
little controversy regarding the dusky skin tone of Hrithik’s character. Numerous
have been questioning why the lead actor has been ‘brownfaced’. Anand Kumar had
opened up about the same and stated that when a person works in the heat, in a
room made of tin shed, the skin tone gets darker. He had also shared that the
makers took inspiration from his videos and tried to replicate the look.
Recently, actress Mrunal Thakur who will be seen essaying
Hrithik’s on-screen wife, has shared her opinion about the actor’s skin tone in
the film. She told, “I think it was required for the character. Whenever I saw
Hrithik in his dark complexion, I would end up calling him Anand and not
Hrithik. When people see the film, they will understand why it was necessary.
In Love Sonia (2018), they (the makers) made me three or four shades darker,
and it worked.”
