As per reports, Paul Rudd will be playing the role of a
small town teacher in Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters. This new movie will be a
continuation of the franchise which started with 1984's Ghostbusters and saw a
1989 sequel to it. The 2016 reboot version will not be taken into consideration
for the new film.
The official Ghostbusters Twitter account has posted a video
of Paul Rudd talking about his new role. The actor also said that he thought he
would be considered for the movie hence he started to slim down.
Rudd further shares that he is so thrilled to be a part of
this movie and cannot contain his joy. This new film revolves around a single
mom played Carrie Coon and her family which consist of Finn Wolfhard and
Mckenna Grace.
Jason Reitman told about Paul Rudd that he wanted to work
with the actor since a long time. He was extremely happy to get Paul Rudd into
the star cast and the original Ghostbusters universe. Jason Reitman has
co-written the script with Gil Kenan. Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman's father who
directed the 1984 Ghostbusters, will produce this film.
