Meghna Gulzar has ticked two major items off her list of
things to do before she starts filming her Laxmi Agarwal biopic.
One, she’s named the film Chhapaak, which means the sound that’s
made when liquid splashes. And two, she’s cast Vikrant Massey as the acid
attack survivor’s social activist life partner Alok Dixit. Meghna roped Vikrant
in after seeing his impressive work in A Death in the Gunj, and she thinks he
and Deepika Padukone will complement each other wonderfully on screen. I think
she’s right.
