SRK’s co-star Sathyaraj didn’t find his character great in Chennai Express!

Film Chennai Express is one of the hit movies in the cinema of remake. The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer was a huge hit and was loved by the everyone. Each and every character's role in this Rohit Shetty directorial was admired by fans. One such character was that of South star Sathyaraj who essayed the character of Deepika’s father in the movie.

Recently, in a media chat, the actor opened up about his movie career and the experience of working in a Bollywood movie along with SRK.

For the information, Sathyaraj is the same actor who became a household name with his character Katappa after Baahubali was released. This movie gained him matchless fame across the world. Baahubali was released 2 years after Chennai Express, but it was only after playing Katappa that fans took note of his role in the Rohit Shetty directorial. Speaking about working in Chennai Express, Sathyaraj disclosed that when the makers had approached him for this film, he heard the story and felt that it was not that great for him. The actor further revealed that he had conveyed this to Rohit and SRK but despite that he ended up doing the film. The reason behind this was Shah Rukh Khan as he liked SRK very much. “I like SRK's acting a lot. His films, like 'DDLJ' and several others, did extremely well,” further added the actor.

 

Prabhas to reveal about his lucky mascot!

The south superstar Prabhas, who essays the lead along with Pooja Hegde in director Radha Krishna Kumar's forthcoming movie 'Radhe Shyam', tells actor Sathyaraj is his 'lucky mascot'.

Joining in a pre-release event in the city, Prabhas pointed out that two of the movies that he had worked with actor Sathyaraj prior to 'Radhe Shyam' had gone on to emerge as a superhit and a hit and expressed hope that 'Radhe Shyam' too would mark a milestone in both their careers.

"Sathyaraj sir is my lucky mascot. I worked with him in the movie 'Mirchi' which was a super hit and then 'Baahubali', a blockbuster hit. I am confident that 'Radhe Shyam' is going to be yet another milestone in our career. His characterisation is so powerful and intriguing in this movie," Prabhas revealed.

'Radhe Shyam', which is set against the backdrops of the 1970s, has Prabhas playing a palmistry expert.
