No Osho movement for PC!

Priyanka Chopra’s project about Ma Anand Sheela has hit a roadblock.

The former spokeswoman of the Osho movement has denied PeeCee permission to make the project. And do you know why? Because she’d rather see Alia Bhatt play her younger self on screen! The 70-year-old Sheela is now based on Switzerland, where an email is accepted as a legal document. So she’s emailed Priyanka a cease and desist letter, which the Desi Girl is yet to respond to. I think this is one battle Mrs Jonas won’t win.

Shakun Batra has big ideas for his Bhagwan Rajneesh biopic.

Not only does the Kapoor & Sons director want Aamir Khan to play the central role of the controversial godman, he also wants Alia Bhatt to come aboard as Osho’s secretary, Ma Anand Sheela. While everyone knows Osho, Ma Anand Sheela was less well known, even though she was convicted of murder and assault for her role in the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack. The Dharma film is still in its early stages of planning, but I’m already excited for it!
