Kirti Kulhari reveals secret about Indu Sarkar’s title!

Actress Kirti Kulhari, who had wowed everybody with her role in National Award-winning film Pink, will be next seen in Madhur Bhandarkar‘s forthcoming movie Indu Sarkar and the actress lately opened up about the film’s title and her role in the movie.

Speaking about the film’s title, Kirti told that the film’s title is a play on words as her character’s name is Indu (her character is named after Indira Gandhi) and her last name is Sarkar. Kirti further added that in the movie, she essays the role of a speech-impaired poetess, who jots down thoughts on her journey of self-discovery.

Kirti will be seen paired opposite Bengali actor Tata Roy Chowdhury in the movie.

It's an Emergency to release 'Indu Sarkar' on July 21!

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's forthcoming project "Indu Sarkar" will release on July 21.

"It's an Emergency! Your date with an important chapter from post-independence history of India, 'Indu Sarkar' releases on July 21 2017," Bhandarkar posted on Tuesday.

The film is supposedly based on the Emergency era, a 21-month period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency across the country. It features Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti Kulhari and Bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury.

A recipient of the Padma Shri, Bhandarkar is known for his socially relevant movies like "Traffic Signal", "Chandni Bar", "Fashion" and "Page 3". He feels youth will be keen to watch "Indu Sarkar".
