CBFC’s objection in language used in the Salman's Hanuman Da Damdaar!

The Central Board of Film Certification has granted a UA certificate with several verbal cuts to Ruchi Narain's Hanuman Da Damdaar, which is something unheard of. The movie will see Salman lending his voice to the character of Lord Hanuman.

Well, talking to a leading daily, CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani said, "Normally animation films, and that too one about a mythological theme would be passed without a hitch. But this film has lots of dialogue featuring children, which may offend religious sentiments.”

However, the filmmakers argue that the language was kept casual as an attempt to make the mythological figure of Hanuman accessible to younger audiences. Responding to this, CBFC Chief said, “That may be so. But the trendy language applied to religious characters may not be taken in the right spirit by everyone. We have to be very careful about religious content. Yes, we’ve cut quite a few of the dialogues. But better safe than sorry.”

He further added, “Children can come and watch the film with their parents. Problem kya hai?”

The trailer of the film shows Hanuman saying, ‘Hata Sawan ki ghata, it’s time for my Katha' among others. The movie is all set to release on June 2, 2017.

Salman uncovers Hanuman Ka Damdaar's motion poster on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti!

After essaying a dedicated devotee of Lord Hanuman in his hit film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the actor is all set to captivate his admirers as Lord Hanuman himself, how, you ask? Well, the actor has lent his voice for the character of adult Hanuman in an animation movie titled Hanuman Da Damdaar which is being directed by Ruchi Narain.

Taking to twitter, Salman today on the promising occasion of Hanuman Jayanti even revealed the motion poster of the movie. "Yeh Summer hoga bada Damdaar, Dekho motion poster of  #HanumanDaDamdaar Aaj HanumanJayanti ke din. @hanuman_damdaar," he posted.

Ruchi Narain was all praises of the actor in an interview previously. She was quoted telling that Salman is the kind of actor who once gets the ball, runs with it and always scores. She even revealed that his improvisations had them in splits and he would often ask, "Zyada ho gaya kya?" He often even crooned, "Main hoon hanuman tera" in between the shots.

The movie will certainly be a treat for kids as the adventures of Hanuman from the point he himself wasn’t aware of his own strengths will be showcased.

The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 19, 2017.
