Akshay Kumar talks about playing Prithviraj Chauhan in his next!

The much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj has been finally released. The movie is based on the Rajput warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan of the Chauhan dynasty, played by Akshay, and will also mark the big Bollywood debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, who essays the role of Sanyogita. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari as other important characters.

Recently, the Entertainment star opened up on essaying the role of Prithviraj and revealed, "First of all I would say that I have completed 30 years in the industry but I have never done such a big historic film. So when I was told that I have to play Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, it was a matter of pride for me. Aisa laga ki mera jeevan safal ho gaya. So I would like to thank Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi and Aditya Chopra. It's an educational film. I wish meri ma hoti, toh she would have been very proud."

Film Prithviraj is slated to release on 3 June 2022.

Manushi Chhillar in awe of her debut costar Akshay Kumar for Prithviraj!

2017’s Miss World Manushi Chhillar is set to make her big Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj. Directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film will feature Manushi playing the role of Sanyogita, wife of Prithiviraj. And as the makers have disclosed the trailer of Prithviraj today, Manushi can’t stop praising about the period drama and costar Akshay Kumar.

During the trailer launch of the film, Manushi talked about working with Akshay Kumar and being a part of Prithviraj and revealed that it will always be a special film for her. “I mean it's my first film so it will always be special. I am fortunate that I got to work with Akshay sir, Yash Raj has launched me and Doctor Saab directed my first film. So definitely Prithviraj is very special to me,” Manushi was quoted saying. Apart from Manushi and Akshay, Prithviraj will also star Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt and Manav Vij in the lead.

Manushi Chhillar's First Look as Sanyogita of Prithviraj!

Earlier, Yash Raj Films confirmed that Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her debut in Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar. Akshay will be essaying the role of Prithviraj and Manushi will play the role of the beautiful princess Sanyogita, Prithviraj’s love of life. For her character as Sanyogita, director Chandraprakash Dwivedi had disclosed that Manushi is being systematically groomed for the last 9 months by YRF.

Recently, Manushi has posted her first look as Sanyogita on her Instagram account. The first look is only a silhouette of her character in the movie but it still looks interesting. Sharing the look, Manushi wrote, "Sanyogita #Prithviraj."

Manishi Chhillar from Miss World to Kingdom Queen!

After months of speculation, Yash Raj Films has announced it is launching Manishi Chhillar.

The former Miss World will star opposite Akshay Kumar in the studio’s biggest ever historical film, Prithviraj. The Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed biopic will centre on the life of the heroic King Prithviraj Chauhan, and Manushi will play his wife Sanyogita. My khabru says the beauty queen auditioned for the role a few times before she was officially cast nine months ago, and has been rehearing six days a week since then. Time will tell if she makes it to the A-list.

Prithviraj’s shoot on 35 lavish sets across Maharashtra and Rajasthan?

Recently, Yash Raj Films revealed that Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her debut in Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar. Akshay will be essaying the role of Prithviraj and Manushi will play the role of the beautiful princess Sanyogita, Prithviraj’s love of life.

As per a media reports that the makers of Prithviraj will have a unit that will create 35 lavish sets across Maharashtra and Rajasthan. As per a source close to the development, "In Mumbai, the sets are being built in adjoining areas of the city, apart from Film City. In Rajasthan, filming is likely to take place extensively in Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer. The unit wants to make the film a visual spectacle. It will include incredible fight sequences, and will also showcase the opulence of kings, and their kingdoms, back then. Thousands of workers will construct these mammoth sets."

Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj will release worldwide on Diwali 2020.
