Gulabo Sitabo’s digital release on the cards?

Amid Coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown has resulted in a huge loss of business for the Hindi film industry. Due to uncertainty of opening theatres and multiplex cinemas, filmmakers are considering to release their films digitally instead of waiting for months to see their movies on the big screen. Considering this fact, director Shoojit Sircar is open to the idea of releasing his next movie Gulabo Sitabo on a digital platform.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan, Gulabo Sitabo was set to release on April 17. Talking about his plans, Shoojit Sircar revealed to a daily, "As a filmmaker, I’d want to see my film open in the theatres, but the situation today is unlike anything anyone had ever experienced. So, I’m open to a digital release if need be, but we will take a decision after May 3,".

Amitabh Bachchan talks about using prosthetics in films!

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan does not mind using prosthetics for a role, but tells using it for long gets tiring.

"As the days pass by the comfort in the portrayal gets to be in an ease that shall be so needed in the final rendition... but yes the prosthetics take their pound of flesh, and to underestimate its after effects would be a fallacy," Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog.

"In the land of the large movie making industry in the West, there are rules that using prosthetics by law cannot be kept on for more than three days... a break for the face for a day or two before going at it again... But here, it is non-stop one month... was the same with 'Paa'.. no complaints... it's just that the bearing shall become tough as the days go by," revealed Big B.

Amitabh Bachchan feels prosthetics "do a very good and successful job". "The make-up artists, that eventually are all imported from across the Oceans... we will learn in time," he said.

It seems Big B was talking about shooting of "Gulabo Sitabo". He is sporting a grumpy old man's look. In the first look, the 76-year-old thespian is seen sporting a long beard, spectacles, a head scarf and a prosthetic nose, which made Big B almost unrecognisable.

Biggies in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo!

Shoojit Sircar has pulled off a casting coup by signing Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana for a comedy called Gulabo Sitabo.

The Lucknow-based film will be written by Juhi Chaturvedi, aka the brains behind hits like Vicky Donor, Piku and October, so you know it will have a good plot. In fact, insiders tell me both the Big B and Ayushmann said yes as soon as they heard the narration and even juggled their dates around so Shoojit could fast track the project. If that doesn’t raise your expectations then nothing will!
